What makes Riad Ariha so special is the quality of service from the staff. Always smiling, they did everything possible to make our trip a success, booked restaurants, arranged a day trip, provided meals at times to suit us. The notes provided in advance are also extremely valuable giving helpful advice on tips etc. We would recommend arranging to be met at the airport as the Medina can seem very confusing at first but you soon learn.

Everything was really great. From the moment I made the booking, the staff sent an email confirmation and follow-up questions. Additionally, they answered any and all questions I had prior to the trip and were some of the friendliest and helpful people I met during my stay in Marrakech. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
“A lovely place to stay”

“Riad Ariha could not have been more welcoming and pleasant. Our room was lovely and comfortable and welcoming to my 8 year old son. This was a favorite of ours in Marrakesh.”

“Riad Ariha was a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. Beautiful rooms, courtyard and roof terrace and staff were incredibly helpful. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.”

“A hidden gem outside the tourist zone of the Medina. Very well restored and managed. We had a great time and enjoyed being part of the local culture.”

“We were very well cared for and look forward to going back. We were given really good help whenever we needed it. The riad is lovely and peaceful which is a must after the bustle of Marrakech.
People need to know that it’s a 5 minute walk to get a taxi. Walking the streets of Marrakech can be confusing so a taxi or the main road (where you get the taxis) is about 5 minutes away and from there you can start your outing.
I also liked dealing with i-escape which can not be said of all agencies. Thank you.”

“We loved the room, the food was OK & the service was good. Teamaking facilities and a TV would improve the overall value (the riad has a dish on the roof) as there was nothing to do at night except go to bed, since going out was a long and potentially risky walk to the centre of the medina. The other criticism we would have is that one should be able to pay the whole bill on credit card. We had to pay the extras in cash! The Moroccan restaurant (Dar Zellij) 100m away was excellent if pricey”

“Very friendly and helpful staff, if only they served food without needing a days notice it would be perfect.”

Note from riad: There must have been a misunderstanding here, for which we apologize, as in fact only a few hours” notice is required. A meal can be ordered around 6 p.m. for dining at 8 p.m.
“Beautiful room and a peaceful escape from the Medina; food was delicious (especially the tagines created in the cooking lesson) and the staff couldn’t have done more to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Took a day until we were fully confident of finding our way to/from the Riad, but then that’s half the charm of Marrakech.”

“Lovely riad in Marrakesh, about 15 mins from the medina, its a bit of a trek at times, but lovely as its quite and secluded. Not so many restaurants around – say a 10 min walk away. Its great if you want to be away from it all, as lets face it, the square and the souks are full on, so nice to come back to the calm and peaceful place that this riah offered. They have a lovely deck upstairs and in the courtyard a great freezing plunge pool (great for 40degree days!). Would recommend this place. The breakfast could have included a bit of fruit, as felt it was a carb overload. Abdula (our host) was lovely. Yes would happily recommend this riad”

“It was an Oasis after the madness of Marrakesh, the beautifully furnished and clean. The staff were warm and friendly and couldnt do enough to help . The roof was a lovely place to relax and read a book or watch the sunset.”
Doreen, United Kingdom (14.08.11)
“The Riad was beautiful. Very calm and relaxed. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Our bags went missing on the way out and they went out of their way to assist and make calls on our behalf. Now that’s what I call customer service!”
Anneliese, United Kingdom (07.08.11)
“We had a fantastic time at the Riad Ariha. Everyone at the Riad were exceptionally helpful and made our holiday like being away from home. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech.”

“We had a lovely stay at Riad Ariha and our two older teenage daughers both had a great time too. The cooking lesson being the highlight, with the hamman/ massage a close 2nd.
The riad was easy to find after the initial outing and we had no trouble getting a taxi to the sites and the staff were most helpful in advising costs for taxi trips.
We would certainly be going back should we have the chance to visit Marrakesh again.”

“We were so impressed with our experience at Riad Ariha. Barbara and her husband together with their four staff were so committed to making our stay one to remember. Beautiful acccommodation, food was fantastic (great value) and location was ideal for peace and quiet as well as visiting Marrakesh. Will recommend to friends.”

“A relaxed and peaceful haven from the bustle of the medina outside its walls. Simple, stylish and comfortable furnishing and decoration with charming and helpful staff. A delightful place to stay.”
Marcus, United Kingdom (29.03.11)
“Would absolutely recommend the Riad Ariha to anyone visiting Marrakech!
The room and communal areas within the Riad are lovely (we were only sorry that we couldn’t spend more time on the lovely roof terrace sunbathing!) and the level of service from the staff was outstanding – they really couldn’t do enough for you, be it ordering taxis, making dinner or hammam reservations, giving directions to the local tourist spots you want to visit and even escorting you to the taxi pick-up point in the dark.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and feel that if you want a riad located within the madness of the medina you could do no better than to stay in this haven where you will be very warmly welcomed by the staff and other guests alike.
All in all, a big thumbs up and thank you to Riad Ariha!”

“Lovely Riad with exceptional service. Tricky to find location but well worth it when you arrive. Not far from the main square and the Souks.”

“A lovely Riad, very welcoming and delicious food. A little tricky to find in the dark though!”

“Riad Ariha was a perfect introduction to Marrakech. It is small but spotless. The staff were welcoming and friendly and were happy to book restaurants and make recommendations. We look forward to going back soon!”

“This really was a beautiful, tranquil place, nicely located and with friendly, welcoming staff. A bit hard to find, but I guess that applies to all the riads in Marrakesh. The central courtyard is lovely and I would really recommend the Jasmine room, which was gorgeous. I will definitely stay there again if/when I return to Marrakesh.”
